How to Use a Broadfork

Step 1
Stand facing the direction you want to move, holding the broadfork in front of you.

Step 2
Insert the tines into the soil by stepping on the broadfork and pushing down with your body weight.

Step 3
With both feet on the ground, pull the handles back (30–45°) to lift and loosen the soil.

Step 4
Let the soil settle without turning it over, lift out the broadfork, and move 1–2 ft forward to repeat.
Loosens Soil Without Disturbing Structure: Aerates and breaks up the soil without inverting layers — promotes healthier root development. A must-have for no-till and regenerative gardening practices.
Durable All-Steel Construction: Built with thickened, powder-coated steel, the broadfork heavy duty is engineered to handle clay, compacted, or rocky soil with ease. Fully welded joints and reinforced tines provide unmatched strength and rust resistance for long-term durability.
Wide Foot Bar for Easy Leverage: Extra-wide step bar lets you apply full body weight for effortless soil penetration. Whether you’re breaking new ground or refreshing existing beds, you’ll get deep, even lift with less strain on your back.
Easy to Assemble & Store: Tool-free assembly with secure locking design for added stability. Detachable handle makes storage and transport simple, especially for compact garden sheds or tool walls.
Versatile Use for All Gardeners: Ideal for digging root vegetables, loosening mulch, or aerating dense soil. Perfect for backyard gardeners, small-scale farmers, and beginners looking for a reliable, easy-to-control tool.
